I Beg to Differ

It is a known fact that some witches tend to rely entirely on spell work to fix everything in their lives. Things like this picture bother me to a great extent.

Yes, you can alter the energy around a problem but doing only that will not fix the issue by itself. You must do HUMAN WORK.

Human work: Talking to the person who is bothering you, calling everyone you can to get a car fixed properly, waking up early to make time to earn extra money to pay a late hospital bill, etc.

Those things need to be done before the magic is employed, in my opinion. If you show no effort, then no energy is going towards your issues, to begin with. I agree with the statement “energy cannot be created nor destroyed”. So, if there is no energy then you cannot magically create it around a problem to be solved. I hate to break it to witches who are unaware, but science and the natural world heavily influence spell work.

The first law of thermodynamics, also known as Law of Conservation of Energy, states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another. For example, turning on a light would seem to produce energy; however, it is electrical energy that is converted.

I understand that the picture was meant to be empowering. The first reaction I had to it was: “the person who made this is lazy and uneducated”. Get up. Do the footwork. Make an effort. Employ magic to aid things in going to your own favor. Don’t be greedy or lazy. Done. Just don’t expect things to always go your way, sometimes they just don’t due to outside influences that overcome anything you throw at it.

On a positive note, you have a lot of power within you. That is one thing this picture is right about. I also love how the skirt is blowing in the wind while walking in a meadow among evergreens. Looks like heaven to me!
